Hey, Fancy Pants!

The comic book pages you see below come from the rare 1950 "movie comic" issued to cash in on the release of the comedy Fancy Pants, one of Lucy's best pairings with Bob Hope. They constitute a bio of the movie's co-star, Lucy, that, like much of her press in the 1940s and 1950s, combined fact with fiction. But the art is fantastic and it's a true relic of another era, when film had already become a "multimedia" category, celebrated in other mediums like radio, TV, books, photos, and comic books.
